Overview

The eToken Certification Course provides you with the technical and conceptual knowledge for integrating Aladdin eToken in existing environments, as well as for the setting up of secure solutions with eToken. Beyond a structured series of lessons covering the full eToken offering, the obtained knowledge is also practiced and deepened in practical exercises (hands-on sessions). Each course participant receives the complete eToken certification kit which includes the course manual and supporting materials for future reference and usage.

The complete eToken Certification Course is a 3-day full course covering all eToken products and solutions. The full course grants you with the Full eToken certification.

The eToken Certification Course is also offered as separate modules, each granting a module specific certification. Each module is a 2-day course that includes a common core section given on the first day and additional module specific content delivered on the second day. The modules are:

1. eToken for PKI Solutions
2. eToken for OTP Authentication
3. eToken for Password Management Solutions

Once participants have completed one module, receiving certification for an additional module requires attending only the second day of that module.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, each participant will be expected to be able to:

• Analyze the current security state of a customer’s working environment.
• Analyze customer needs.
• Define desired authentication and data protection solutions.
• Evaluate how eToken can fill customer needs.
• Prepare a preliminary plan for installing and configuring eToken products on a customer network.
• Understand the physical resources and system support necessary to install and configure eToken products.
• Install and configure eToken in a controlled test environment.
• Install and configure eToken in a live environment.

Prerequisites

In order to attend the eToken Certification course, basic knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure and security is required. That includes basic knowledge in computer networks, Windows Server and Client, and Virtual Private Network (VPN). In addition, basic Knowledge in cryptography, authentication methods and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is needed.

• Token Management System (TMS) – deployment and full life cycle management
• Strong authentication using the eToken OTP Authentication solution

• Practical exercises (Hands-On)

The course offers the required knowledge for passing the certification exam. Passing the exam will entitle you as Aladdin eToken Certified Engineer.

The certification exam is taken on-line and can be accessed through the Aladdin secured partner site.
